In 1874 a nucleus of pioneer families petitioned Presbytery for a new church in a budding community north of Toronto. It was to be called Woodbridge Presbyterian Church. The actual church building was completed in short order and stood (and is still standing) at the corner of what is now Kipling and Woodbridge Avenues.
This venerable church served the congregation for over 140 years. In 2005, because of the demands of a growing congregation, a new larger and better equipped facility was built and renamed as Cornerstone Community Church.
